Swali: Kuna fatwa iliyoenea ya baadhi ya wanazuoni waliohai na waliokufa (Rahimahumu Allaah) ambao wamejuzisha kuondoa uchawi kwa kutumia uchawi mwingine kutokana na dharurah. Je, haitoshi ya kwamba Mtume (Swalla Allaahu ´alayhi wa sallam) amesema:
”Adhabu ya mchawi ni kupingwa kwa upanga”?
Jibu: Kwa hali yoyote ni kwamba maoni ya pili ni kosa. Maneno yake (Swalla Allaahu ´alayhi wa sallam) aliposema:
”Adhabu ya mchawi ni kupingwa kwa upanga”?
Ni maneno ya Swahabah hata hivyo yanayo hukumu moja kama maneno ya Mtume (Swalla Allaahu ´alayhi wa sallam). Qur-aan imetaja wazi ya kwamba mchawi ni kafiri:
وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ
“Na [hao Malaika wawili] hawamfundishi yeyote mpaka wamueleze: “Hakika sisi ni mtihani, basi usikufuru [kwa kufanya uchawi]”.”[1]
